Try to imagine sharing a stage with one of your biggest musical references. Did you do that? Few in this world have (or had) this kind of privilege. And it was precisely what happened with Thiago Cerveira when he shared the stage with the legendary American guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan’s band, the “Double Trouble”.

But the luck (allied with competence) did not end there. When he was 17 years old, Thiago was discovered by the musician Nuno Mindelis. Born in Angola, Nuno is one of the main references on Blues in the country today.

With over a decade with Nuno’s band, Thiago made important participations at domestic and international events. The most outstanding ones occurred in Canada, where he met musicians of “Double Trouble”. In Brazil, the shows with Thiago Cerveira and “Double Trouble” filled up Credicard Hall in São Paulo. The harmonica player’s tours also went through France, Belgium and Holland.

Self-educated, Thiago won his first harmonica from his brother. In love with the instrument, he began to take blues music just by “listening”. Today, Thiago conducts experiments with the harmonica. “I try to adapt melody and harmony of other instruments, like the electric guitar, saxophone and drums to the harmonica”, he said.
