Márcio Maresia, with his “Maresistic” sound, is another musician that fought to transform the harmonica into a more and more admired instrument.
And in this scenario, he plays an interesting role by adopting an original and very rich style, baptized by him as “Maresistic Style”. This line involves the mixture of a traditional sound with a modern sound. Result: songs that arouse a lot of emotion!
On the profession for 15 years, Márcio released his second solo CD, the “Still on the Road”. Next year he intends to record an album in Portuguese. He also has a number of memorable participations beside persons of great knowledge on the Blues such as Lancaster and J.J. Jackson.
This experience allowed the acquisition of a wide repertoire that led him to the expansion of his professional performances, thus making him a teacher. His main intent as a “harmonica educator” is to work with his students in a rhythmic independence so that they can have autonomy in any kind of music genre. “The harmonica is my life. It is already a permanent part of my spirit. It is practically an extension of my soul”. That is the way the musician defines his passion for the instrument.
